Life In Dawleywood: Baby Showers, Halloween outfits, and Paint ...

First off, I have to start off with some really disappointing news.? I had such high hopes for this homemade hot cocoa {and doesn?t it look amazing?} but it was really not good.? It was so thick and rich and just wasn?t for me.? I will have to try a new recipe next time.? Does anyone have a homemade hot cocoa they love?? This had chocolate chips and cocoa in it, so maybe that was it?

Look at my sweet girl in one of her Halloween outfits?? I had a doctor?s appointment last week and had to run some errands before a baby shower I was hosting and she went to Eric?s grandparent?s house for the morning.? It is so hard to get a decent picture of her anymore.? She won?t sit still for more than 5 seconds.? After the pictures, I did cut about 8 inches off the ribbon since it was too long.

Here is another of her Halloween outfits I made her.? My mom actually made this shirt, but same thing right =)? I wish I could have gotten a better pic of the shirt, but I was just so thrilled that she was actually smiling big at the camera that I took that over the shirt

Ugh, I So wish she would just look at the camera.? I don?t have very many momma/gracie pics anyway because I?m always the one taking the picture, but this is just the best we get anymore.? She?s so distracted by everything around her, or trying to attack me, ha.? I?ll take it though, I cherish these pics with her even though they?re not perfect.? And please remember I am 23 weeks pregnant and get no sleep ever, hence the chubby face and puffy eyes.? Story of my life lately?

There is a lady in town who makes the most ADORABLE, precious cakes and always gives me a great deal!? The shower I helped host had a baseball theme and this is the cake.? I wish I had a better pic, but look at the precious shoes, so cute!? My friend is a he Boston fan and the baby will be named Brady, so it was perfect because y?all know how I feel about personalization on everything!

I LOVE these girls, they have been my best friends for over 10 years and we were all in each other?s wedding.? It?s so crazy to think that our babies will all be playing together once precious little Brady arrives!

After church I had big plans to come home and clean the junk room that is soon to be Adeline?s room.? this has seemed like such a daunting task that I kept putting it off for weeks and weeks.? I can?t even believe I am showing y?all this picture, my husband would kill me, but I?m just keeping it real around here =)? Please tell me someone else has a junk room too??

It?s definitely still a long way until it?s completely cleaned out, but? I at least got my fabric organized into tubs. Yay! Y?all, I can?t even tell you how much decorating a new nursery is stressing me out!? I have never in my life been so indecisive!? My first thought was that I was going to paint it blue and a cream color {like the top bottom colors in gracie?s nursery}.? Here is the fabric I ordered for the bumper

I really like it, and I ordered a pink cotton to make a tiered ruffle crib skirt, like this:

Well today at the paint store I had a mini freak out.? First of all, I couldn?t find the right color of blue even though I have visited hundreds of paint blogs.? Second, as much as I love the blue {at least the blue in my head} on the walls, I just feel like a little girl?s room needs to be pink, and girly, and whimsical, and look like a little girl?s room.? Am I making sense to anybody?

All the inspiration pics I have found have been more ?cutesy?, which is adorable, but I just want something more ?fancy? I guess.? I just can?t find any inspiration pics that look just right to me.? Not that there is anything wrong with different colors or animal prints, it?s just SOOOO not my style.? Even though I think it?s cute and fun, I would have to re-do it after a few months.? I tend to gravitate more towards girly, classic {and some might say boring?}

So I know y?all feel like you?re reading the ramblings of a lunatic right now, and to be honest that?s not very far off from the truth.? I have about 3 months left and my poor baby will probably not have a room, bedding, or anything else since I?m about half crazy right now stressing out over things that don?t really matter.? I am very thankful for my husband, mom, and friends who just tell me that every idea I send their way {even though it changes ever 10 minutes} is wonderful!? I have such great people around me =)
